An Ideal House Moving Packing For Different Household Items

House moving can be a tedious job. Different household items require unique and different packing depending on their nature. Hence one will need an expert and smart furniture removalist to do the job. Delicate items will require a secure packing in order to ensure its safety is intact and they reach their destination unharmed and in its original condition. Movers should ensure the availability of strap bands, trolleys, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, bubble wrapping, sheets etc.

Fragile items such as mirrors, pictures, glass table tops, crockeries, clocks, vase, lamps etc. will need a good and safe packaging. Safe packaging may include, bubble wrap/foam wraps, packer's tape, bunched up paper and plastic wraps. When packing fragile items in boxes use a lot of paper on the top, bottom and the sides of the box as it will keep it intact.

All electronic items should be securely placed in one box in order to avoid misplacement. Furniture, if possible should be disassembled and then packed, however while doing this one should take care of any hardware or screws involved.

Tips:

  • Don't pack a box that weighs more that 23 kg as it is hard to move a box that heavy.
  • Utilize pillows and cushions at the bottom of the boxes.
  • Mark important boxes containing important documents, jewellery, cheque books etc.
  • Dispose all alcoholic beverages as it is against the law to transfer them in a vehicle.
  • Newspapers should be avoided as the print residue will be left on the items packed with those and it is hard to take it out.
  • Waterproof packing is advisable for packing important documents and originals.
